Montardy Castle belongs to the LAU family of Allemans since 1427. Its origin dates back to the 14th century. Feudal castle, it was transformed during the centuries until the XVIe.
The castle was the favorite place of great men of history such as King Edward VII who came to spend his holidays there and hunt as a friend. Peter Shaffer was also an iconic character who came to the castle several times.
